Hello and Welcome. I was diagnosed with Kyphosis in 2005 and had my first appointment with my specialist in 2006 and learned I had a curve of about 80 degrees I believe. I had my surgery to correct my Kyphosis on October 15, 2007 and in December 2007 I had complications and required more surgery on August 14, 2008. I am currently recovering from the surgery. I have always had problems with my back as well as a curve in my spine but I wasn't diagnosed until I was 22 years old. I have created this blog to hopefully bring a bit of awareness to the disorder as well as keep friends and family up to date on how I am doing. This is my own personal journey with a disorder that is not always well understood. I would like to stress something though-I could not have gotten through all of this without the strong support of my family. I can't stress that enough! They have been there to support me every single day and it made everything that much easier to tackle. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I hope that maybe even one person may learn or benefit from it.
I am someone who enjoys being around people and making them laugh. I am a good listener. I am a strong Christian. I love learning new things and I absolutely love food! I also like to dance as if no one is watching with my pets.
